In a special fundraising episode of Sporting Lives, former Scotland international, Bradford City, Everton, Rangers and Sheffield United midfielder, (and current Bradford City manager) Stuart McCall tells Jonathan Doidge what is was like growing up near Elland Road, life in Wortley, his memories of playing at the TV Harrison Ground, for Pudsey Juniors and some of the highlights of his glittering career.
Stuart and Jonathan put this podcast together free of charge in order to try help raise much-needed funds to save the TV Harrison Ground from having houses built on it and preserve a special community sports field in Leeds for the benefit of local children. By listening to this podcast you are agreeing to head the TV Harrison Action Group Crowd Funding Page by clicking here and leaving a donation to aid the cause. This can be from as little as £1, to recognise the work that has gone into putting together this podcast.
Please click 'subscribe' to this Sporting Lives channel (all the other podcasts are FREE to listen to) to access previous vodcasts, including former Leeds United stars Brian Deane (who also talks about playing at the TV Harrison Ground) and Nigel Martyn, and a future podcast soon to be released with Eddie Gray, and follow @SportingLives1 on Twitter and Facebook.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT and I wish the TV Harrison Ground Community Group success in achieving their goal, at a place where many have been scored.
Jonathan.
